Smart Water, Assets & IoT
Intelligent water infrastructure that finds leaks before they become losses, automates pump and valve control, and turns every meter into a revenue-assurance device.
Water is Africa's scarcest utility and its least-measured one. Treated water that is produced but never billed — non-revenue water — is a direct operating loss, and in most networks nobody can say precisely where it goes.
CPS closes that gap with instrumentation first. High-precision AMI meters replace estimate-based billing, IoT sensors report pressure, flow, quality and consumption continuously, and PLC-based control gives operators direct command of pumps, valves and reservoirs from a SCADA layer rather than a site visit.
On top of that data we run AI leak detection with field validation workflows, so an anomaly becomes a work order rather than a dashboard alert nobody actions. NRW reduction programmes are run to measurable targets, reported against a baseline we establish before the first meter is installed.

Who This Is For
Municipal water authorities, sectional-title and multi-tenant property managers, industrial water users, agricultural estates, and precinct developers billing water on to occupants.
Questions we get
about this service.
What is non-revenue water?
Non-revenue water is treated water that a utility produces but never bills for. It is lost to physical leaks in the reticulation network, to meter under-reading and estimate-based billing, and to unauthorised connections. Reducing it recovers revenue from water you are already paying to treat and pump.
Do smart water meters work with our existing billing system?
Yes. AMI metering integrates with multi-tenant and municipal billing platforms, including tamper alerts that flag interference before it shows up as a shortfall at month-end. Integration scope is confirmed during the design phase against your specific billing stack.
How is leak detection different from just reading meters more often?
Frequent reads tell you consumption changed. AI leak detection models pressure, flow and quality data together to distinguish a genuine leak from a legitimate demand shift, then routes it into a field validation workflow so a crew confirms and repairs it. The measurable outcome is repaired leaks, not more data.
